Bingham
Bingham is a thriving, expanding market town of approximately 10,000 population in the East Midlands, about ten miles due east of Nottingham at the junction of the A52 and A46 (Fosse Way). The nearest towns are Nottingham to the west, Newark to the north-east, Grantham to the east, and Leicester and Melton Mowbray to the south.
Bingham is on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir in
the Nottinghamshire Borough of Rushcliffe. It lies in D Division of
South Nottinghamshire Police, within Rushcliffe South under the command
of Local Area Commander Inspector Jeff Haywood, who is based at Bingham
Police Station. The photo shows Bingham Buttercross in the market square
and (rollover image) a typical market day scene.
